To begin the Master Distiller qualification you must hold the IBD Diploma in Distilling, or one of the following qualifications:

• Heriot-Watt University (ICBD) - BSc Brewing & Distilling or MSc Brewing and Distilling.
• Institute of Technology, Carlow (IT Carlow) - BSc (Hons) Brewing & Distilling.
• Technical University of Munich (Weihenstephan) - Bachelor (BSc) Brauwesen und Getränketechnologie or Master (MSc) Brauwesen und Getränketechnologie.
