Calling all CIBD Southern section members! 

Join us for an exclusive Technical Tour, hosted by the CIBD Southern Section, offering a behind-the-scenes distillery tour in London.

The tour is limited to 30 places - Priority will be given to CIBD members and CIBD Distilling candidates, but all are welcome to register their interest!

Part 1: Doghouse Distillery (Grain-to-Glass)

Program Schedule

Part 1. Doghouse Distillery Tour (12:30 PM – 2:15 PM) -

Location: Doghouse Distillery, London

  • 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM: Arrival and Welcome
    • Guests welcomed by Braden Saunders and team.
    • Safety briefing and tour guidelines.
  • 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM: Guided Distillery Tour
    • Grain-to-Glass Overview: Explanation of Doghouse’s unique process.
    • Raw Material Sourcing: Insights into selecting and sourcing grains.
    • Fermentation Process: Discussing yeast selection and fermentation techniques.
    • Distillation Technology: Technical challenges and innovative solutions.
    • Product Development: Overview of crafting vodka and gin from base alcohol.
  • 1:45 PM – 2:15 PM: Tasting and Q&A Session
    • Members engage in discussions with Abhi, Braden and his team while tasting some products.

 

This event leads to Part 2. technical tour to Beefeater distillery, participants must register separately for the Beefeater Distillery technical tour using the provided link

Attendees should allow at least 45 minutes for transportation between the main event venue and the Beefeater Distillery.

Part 2: Beefeater Distillery Visit (3:15 PM – 5:15 PM)

  1. 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Arrival and Check-In
    • Guests register and prepare for the tour.
  2. 3:15 PM – 4:45 PM: Guided Gin Crafting Tour
    • Introduction to Gin Crafting: Exploring Beefeater’s historical significance.
    • Botanical Selection: Insights into sourcing and blending botanicals.
    • Distillation for Gin: Focus on Beefeater’s gin-making process.
  3. 4:45 PM – 5:15 PM: Tasting Session
    • Guests sample a selection of Beefeater’s gins, guided by the distillery team.
  4. Closing remarks
    • Opportunity to network and socialise with guests over a complementary Beefeater G&T!
